Piano

EVELYN LEE is a graduate of Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart and Yale University School of Music where she received scholarships to pursue a graduate degree in piano. She has attended summer workshops and classes at Catholic University, Indiana University, and University of St. Thomas, as well as MMTA and MTNA conventions. Her graduate thesis on a piano pedagogy method that integrates various approaches to teaching reading, ear training, and piano skills as well as her strong interest in injury-free playing form the basis of her teaching from the beginning student to the advanced. Lee is an active and nationally certified member of Minnesota Music Teachers Association and is chair of the St. Paul chapter of the National Guild of Piano Teachers. Her students have excelled in MMTA, MMTF, and St. Joseph’s piano contests as well as MMTA theory tests. Her musical interests range from playing classical guitar to playing in the Indonesian gamelan orchestra.
