Minnesota native Austin Frohmader is a pianist and composer. Earning his Bachelor of Music in Composition at the Moores School of Music, University of Houston, he studied composition with Dr. Marcus Maroney, and piano with Nancy Weems. Frohmader was awarded the Master of Music Degree in Piano Perforrmance and the Artist Diploma at Ball State University, in Indiana, with Raymond Kilburn.
Frohmader has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, the LaCrosse Symphony Orchestra, the Moores School Symphony Orchestra, the Mississippi Valley Orchestra, and the Northern Symphony Orchestra. He is the First Prize winner of the Young people's Symphony Concert Association (YPSCA) of the Minnesota Orchestra's Concerto Competition which resulted in 9 performances with that world renowned ensemble. He was also the winner of the Thursday Musical Young Artist Scholarship Competition.
