Sandy Schoenecker, B.A.

A native of the Twin Cities with a degree from Macalester College, mezzo-soprano SANDRA SCHOENECKER has performed with many local organizations including the Minnesota Opera, Lakes Area Music Festival (LAMF), VocalEssence, Mill City Opera, North Star Opera (now Skylark Opera), and the Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company. A sought-after mezzo-soprano in sacred music as well as opera, Schoenecker has served as an alto section leader and soloist at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis and at House of Hope Presbyterian Church in St. Paul. In addition to teaching at St. Joseph’s School of Music, she works as a private vocal instructor at Armstrong and Stillwater Senior High Schools. She currently resides with many dogs, cats, bees and butterflies in Hudson, Wisconsin.
